Introduction to the Evaluator Assignment Feature
Assigning evaluators effectively is crucial for maintaining an organized and unbiased application review process. AcceleratorApp allows you to delegate assessment responsibilities to specific team members seamlessly, ensuring they only gain access to the applications they are explicitly assigned to score.
This feature solves the logistical headache of manually distributing workloads and protects applicant privacy by limiting data visibility. Admins and Funnel Managers can utilize two distinct methods: automated pre-assignment during the funnel configuration phase for hands-free workflow scaling, or manual assignment directly on the fly while reviewing active applications. Once assigned, you can setup an automated tasks for each evaluator and they will clear themselves the moment the respective evaluation form is submitted.
Where to Find Evaluator Assignment
The configuration lives in two areas depending on your chosen workflow: within the Funnel Settings under specific Round Steps for automation, or directly inside the Application Review dashboard for manual adjustments.
Step-by-Step
1. Select your preferred assignment method
Decide whether you want to automate the assignment process across an entire round or assign team members case-by-case during the review stage.
Method A: Pre-assigning Evaluators via the Application Funnel builder
2. Navigate to your funnel settings
Click on the Application module on the top navigation menu, navigate to the funnel section, and click on the edit icon to edit your application funnel.
3. Select the desired evaluation round step
Locate the specific round and step where you want the evaluations to take place, then click to edit its configuration.
4. Pre-assign evaluators
Select the specific staff members or evaluator you want to automatically receive evaluation tasks when applications enter this step.
5. Add an task assignation rule
Click on the add action button to automate a task for evaluators when they have to evaluate the applications.
6. Save and Publish your step configuration
Click the Save and Publish button to lock in your evaluation setup.
Method B1: Bulk Assigning Evaluators on a Case-by-Case Basis
7. Open the Application Overview table
Click on the Application module in the top navigation menu, then select the Overview tab.
8. Apply the right filters and select applications
Apply specific filters to bulk assign evaluators, ensuring you select the Application Funnel filter and the specific Selection Round filter (e.g., Under Review > 1st Round). If you select multiple selection round the bulk assign evaluator option will not be available.
9. Click on the assign evaluator button
Locate the Assign Evaluator button on the overview toolbar and click on it.
10. Add your chosen evaluators
Type or select the names of the specific evaluators who should score the selected group of individual applications.
11. Save your selection
Click on save and wait until all the assignments are successfully updated across the system.
Method B2: One by One Assigning Evaluators in a Case by Case basis
12. Open the Application File
Click directly on the application name to open the individual application file, then locate and click on the assign/modify evaluators option.
13. Chosse your evaluators and save the selection
Apply the right filters to find your team members, select the designated evaluators, and click on save to trigger their individual evaluation tasks.
Best Practices
Use automation for predictable pipelines: Pre-assigning evaluators in the funnel settings saves significant time if your scoring workload is evenly distributed across fixed team members.
Keep access restricted: Trust that evaluators will only see the specific applicant data they are assigned to; you do not need to alter global permission roles for temporary reviewers.
