Introduction to Permissions

The Permissions page allows administrators to control two specific actions users can take in AcceleratorApp. From this page, you can decide whether users are allowed to delete their own accounts and applications, and whether users can freely add skills to their profile or must choose from a predefined list.

These settings are useful when you want to maintain more control over account management and keep profile data more consistent across your organization.

Where to Find Permissions

  1. From the main menu in the top left corner.
  2. Click on General Settings in the left-side menu.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Permissions.
  4. On this page, you can manage the following settings:
    • Can Users Self Delete their Account
    • Lock Skills

5. Reviewing the available skills for users

If you enable Lock Skills, make sure the list of available skills in your organization is up to date. User Skills can be found on the Taxonomy section.

Users will only be able to select from the skills your organization has configured.
