How to Manage Events?
A guide on how to manage events in the AcceleratorApp.
Managing Events as the Event Administrator
The events feed is a view of all the events, both past and future. All members of the community can see the feed either as a grid or calendar, pending the visibility settings for an event, only the Admin can create, delete, and edit all events from there.
Viewing Events
In each of the Event tabs, you can see the list as a grid or calendar of past and future events, and you can filter the list by host, event planner (i.e. created by), topic, type, and tag. There are 4 Events tabs:
- Event Feed: a view of all events, both past and future, pending the visibility settings for an event.
- My Events: a view of all the events, both past and future, that you are hosting or attending.
- Event planning: only the admin will have a view of all the events that are published, in draft mode, pending host availabilities, or archived.
- Unpublished events: only the admin will have a view of all the events that you’ve created, are hosting, in draft mode (i.e. created by others), pending host availabilities, or archived.
Editing or Deleting events
An event, published or unpublished event, can be edited (note: the host of the event cannot be changed once an event is published) or canceled to delete it from the list. A notification will be sent to the event host and the attendees of any changes made to a published event.
Event Attendees (Future events)
For each event, you have access to the attendee's list where you can:
- Use the search bar to find a specific attendee;
- View a list of registered attendees and targeted attendees;
- Export the list of attendees and associated data as an Excel or CSV file;
- Sort the list of attendees by registration date, appointment time, name, last name, startup name, or role in ascending or descending order;
- Select which data fields about the attendee to view in the list or export
- Change the status of the attendee to the event administrator or revoke administrative permissions;
- Deregister an attendee
Event Attendees (Past events)
The view of attendees for a past event has the same features as the list shown for future events. In the view, you can also:
- Note if the attendee attended the event or not;
- Schedule a meeting with the user
