Introduction to Courses 

Creating courses in AcceleratorApp empowers you to educate and engage your community effectively. The Learning Management System (LMS) allows you to craft courses with diverse content types like articles, videos, quizzes, and assignments. These tools make it easy to deliver knowledge while tracking participant progress.

Where to Create a Course

Navigate to the Courses section located on the top menu and hit the tab Courses Management. From this section, you can manage all your courses and begin creating new ones.

Step-by-Step Actions

1. Adding Basic Course Information

1. Click on Create New Course.
2. Fill in the course’s title, description, and any required details.
3. Click Next to access the course builder interface.

2. Building Course Content

In the Content Tab, structure your course by adding sections and units:

Sections: Provide a title, introductory notes, and attach resources.

Units: Include:

• Articles: Text-based content with images, videos, and files.
• Videos: Embedded from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom.
• Assignments: Tasks requiring participants to upload responses.
• Quizzes: Custom questions to test knowledge.
• Submissions: Custom forms that learners are required to complete and submit. Please note: These forms can include custom fields that can synchronize with startup or user profiles.

3. Configuring Course Settings

In the Settings Tab:

•  Update the course title, description, and available languages.
• Assign team members who can edit the course.
• Enable or disable new enrollments by archiving the course.

4. Managing Cohorts

In the Cohorts Tab:

• Click Create New Cohort.
• Define the cohort’s time zone, start and end dates, enrollment period, and access settings.

Please note: Creating a cohort is essential to grant your learners access to the course. Without a cohort, no learners will be able to access the course.

5. Previewing the Course

In the Preview Tab, review the course layout and description before launching.
