A guide on the types of programs to create in the AcceleratorApp.
Introduction to Type of Programs
AcceleratorApp offers two main types of programs—User Programs and Startup Programs—to accommodate the distinct needs of different participant types within your community. This distinction allows you to manage resources, track metrics, and assign activities based on specific group attributes.
User Programs are ideal for individual users or community members. These are ideal for running mentorship programs, potential founders, students, volunteer initiatives, or training sessions for community members while Startup Programs focus on entire startup entities, these are suitable for accelerators, incubators, and startup boot camps where multiple startups need cohort-based resources and tracking.
Startups and founders are managed separately within AcceleratorApp. A startup profile is created for the company, and founders are assigned to this startup as linked users. This separation allows programs to be targeted directly at startup-level metrics and progress while enabling support for individual founders through tasks and coaching sessions.
Where to find Programs
Navigate to the Startups section in the top menu, then select Programs. Here, you’ll see a list of current programs, and you can specify whether each program is a User Program or a Startup Program.
Step-by-Step Actions
STEP 1: From the Home page or the top menu, click on Startups.
STEP 2: Click on Programs.
STEP 3: Click on Create New Program.
STEP 4: Add the Program details.
Assigning a Program
Startups
- Assigning Programs to Existing Startups: Go to Startups > Startups Management from the top menu. Select multiple startups to assign or remove them from a program.
- Save Changes: When done, click Save to finalize the process.
- Assigning Programs During Applicant Acceptance: When accepting applicants, use the dropdown menu to assign them to one or more programs. Remember to update the acceptance email tied to each program first.
Users
- Assigning Programs to Existing Users: Navigate to Settings > Users Management in the sidebar, locate the user, and click on the three dots to the right. Select the Program field to assign an individual user to a program, then save your changes.
Note: If no programs are available, go to the Programs section to create a new one. More details here.
- Assigning Programs During Applicant Acceptance: While accepting applicants, use the dropdown menu to assign them to one or more user programs. Be sure to update the acceptance email linked to each program before finalizing.
- Save Program: Once all settings are complete, click Save to apply the program assignments.
