Taxonomy in the AcceleratorApps

A guide on taxonomy and creating tags in the AcceleratorApp.

Taxonomy

Taxonomy is a system for organizing information. In the AcceleratorApp we use tags. Not only are tags used to classify information, but they can also be used to take action on a group of users, startups, forms, and documents via their common tags.

Only the admins and sub-admins of the incubator can create and edit tags.

Use of Tags in the AcceleratorApp

Some of the actions you can do once you’ve created and assigned tags include:

  • Assign a metric to startups via common tags
  • Assign tasks to a group of startups via common tags
  • Restrict the visibility of an event via common tags
  • Classify startup documents via common tags
  • Sort forms via common tags
  • Send emails to users or startups via common tags.
