Introduction to Customizing the Design of Email Templates

Learn how to customize the design of your email templates in AcceleratorApp — including the header image, logo link, button colors, and external body color — to keep your communications consistent with your branding.

Designing email templates allows you to keep the look and feel of your branding consistent across all communications to your community. Editing the content and design of emails are separated to make it easier to reuse templates across multiple emails.

The following elements can be customized:

  • Header — An image or image with background color aligned to your branding. Recommended size: 800px × 150px.
  • Logo Link — A clickable URL attached to your header logo, redirecting recipients to your website or platform when they click on it.
  • External Body — The area bordering the text zone. The text zone always remains white, but the external body color can be customized.
  • Action Button — Both the button background color and button text color can be changed.

Best Practices

  • Use consistent branding. Keep the same logo, colors, and button style across all templates to reinforce brand recognition.
  • Always set a Logo Link. Linking your header logo to your website or platform adds a professional touch and gives recipients a clear destination.
  • Use HEX codes for precision. Avoid relying on color pickers alone — entering exact HEX codes ensures color consistency across all templates.
  • Create one base template. Build a single well-branded template first, then duplicate and adjust for specific use cases (e.g., onboarding, notifications, evaluation updates).
