Chat 2.0 is here, in beta

What's new

• Direct messages and channels. Start a private conversation with anyone in your program, or create a named channel for a cohort or team.
• Threads, mentions, and reactions. Reply to a specific message to keep side discussions organized, @mention someone to flag them, and react with an emoji instead of typing.
• File sharing and link previews. Attach documents and images, and share links with a preview so people know what they're clicking before they open it.
• Archiving. Set finished conversations aside without losing them, and unarchive anytime to pick back up.

Why it matters

Every program already has these conversations. They were just happening over email or outside the platform. Chat keeps them where the context already lives, and it's in beta now.
