Introduction to Inviting Mentors to Your Community
Inviting mentors is the first step in building a strong mentor network in AcceleratorApp. Once onboarded, mentors can participate in coaching sessions, evaluations, and direct interactions with startups across your community.
This feature allows you to send personalized email invitations directly from the platform, giving mentors the access they need to engage with your ecosystem from day one.
Where to Find Mentor Management
Navigate to the Community section in the top menu and click on Mentor Management.
Step-by-Step
1. Send a Mentor Invitation
- Go to Community in the top menu and open Mentor Management.
- Click the Invite Mentor button in the upper-right corner.
- In the pop-up, fill in the mentor's email address and optionally add a personalized message.
- Click Send Invitation.
The mentor will receive an email with instructions to join the platform. Once they accept, they are added to your mentor network and can start interacting with startups.
2. Customize the Mentor Invitation Email
To edit the content or design of the invitation email, go to the Startups section and select the Emails tab. Locate the onboarding email titled Mentor Account Invitation, click on it, and customize its content and design as needed.
Best Practices
- Add a personalized message to give mentors context about their role or the startups they will be supporting — it sets the right tone from the start.
- Confirm with the mentor that they received the invitation, as email delivery can occasionally be delayed.
- Monitor pending invitations in Mentor Management and resend if needed.
